The Linear Economy seemed just fine, once upon a time … take materials from the earth, make it into something, use it and dispose of it when it’s done. Easy … if we had several habitable planets a hop away (not thus far), or a tiny and shrinking population (um, 7.5 billion people and counting = another nope). Enter the Circular Economy … a new, but actually very old idea of using, reusing, repurposing and recycling materials rather than piling up in landfill. Trash to treasure, and treasure again.
